What is GLD reward program?
- The Galeries Lafayette Doha (GLD) reward program is an expression of appreciation. It is also a clear articulation of our intention to reward our customer’s every move. The program has been designed to enhance our customer experience and lavish you with rewards while creating pathways to privileges you will love and enjoy to the fullest.
Why should I join GLD reward program?
- The GLD reward program offers a range of benefits and offers tailored for shopping in our department store. It provides exclusive access to experiences and a unique collection of international brands.
Who can join GLD reward program?
- We are delighted to inform you that joining the Galeries Lafayette Doha Reward Program is free and open to everyone of legal age, whether you live in Qatar or overseas. However, the rewards program applies only within the territorial limits of the state of Qatar, for the purchases made online and offline from Galeries Lafayette Doha.
How can you join GLD reward program?
- Customers can join the GLD reward program in two ways:
1) Register your details through the GLD website and sign up to become a proud owner of a GLD rewards card. Website: www.galerieslafayette.qa
2) Walk into our GLD store, register your details in person with our customer service team, and walk away with your GLD rewards card in hand. - When you join, you will be asked to:
1) Provide some basic personal information in accordance with our GLD Privacy Policy.
2) Accept the GLD reward Terms and Conditions and GLD Privacy Policy
How can you manage your account?
- As a registered member of the GLD reward program, you can view and manage your account as well as update your details at any time. To do this, sign-up/sign-in using the same email address and mobile number you registered with.
How and where can you collect points with GLD reward program?
- You can earn points on all qualifying purchases. All purchases made at GLD are deemed as qualifying purchases, unless and otherwise, GLD adds an exception on certain products and services such as gift vouchers, gift cards, GLD services, watches & fine jewelry, and F&B outlets. These exceptions will be noticeably denoted so that our customers are clear about every qualifying purchase. GLD reserves the right to amend or add to these exclusions at any time at its discretion.
How are points calculated?
- Points are calculated based on eligible spend in GLD department store. Points are available on full-price and discounted items.
i. Red: For every QAR 1 spent you will earn 1.5 points.
ii. Silver: For every QAR 1 spent you will earn 2 points.
iii. Gold: For every QAR 1 spent you will earn 2.5 points.
iv. La Suite: For every QAR 1 spent you will earn 3 points.
No partial points are awarded.
How soon will your reward points be registered?
- Within 48 hours after your purchase, and we will ensure that your rewards points will be registered on to our system.
How can you keep track of how many points you have earned?
- To keep track of your reward points, you can sign-up/sign-in using the same email address and mobile number you used to register on the website: www.galerieslafayette.qa
How long will your points last?
- Your reward points have a validity of two full calendar years from the date of the last purchase. Any remaining points balance will expire and will not be transferrable. You will receive a monthly statement including a reminder on points that will expire at end of that period. Please ensure your personal details and communication preferences are turned on and up to date to receive GLD messages.
Can you redeem your points at any time?
- Yes, absolutely! The reward points you have earned are yours to enjoy and redeem at any given point over the course of two full calendar years from the date of last purchase.
When will my points be available for redemption?
- For in-store, points will be available to spend within 48 hours after purchase.
For online purchases, your points will be available to spend the day after delivery.
How much are your reward points worth?
- Every time you spend QAR 1 it earns you reward points based on your tier. Excitingly, the more points you earn, the higher you rise through membership levels, giving you unparalleled access to increasing amounts of privileges and perks. 100 GLD reward points is worth QAR 1.
What if you would like to exchange or refund your purchases?
- Your refund and exchange rights are as per the GLD refund and exchange policies, and not affected by our reward program. Visit https://www.galerieslafayette.qa/cancellations-returns-refunds/
- Refund will be made to the same payment modes as in the invoice done during the original purchase.
If you have paid for your purchase fully with points, you will receive the refund in points. If you have paid for your purchase partially using GLD points, you will receive the refund in the amount of points redeemed first and the remaining amount via cash or card based on the original mode of payment. If the points become negative or below zero, corresponding QAR will be deducted from cash/credit card or any other payment mode as applicable.
If the GLD points used for the purchase have expired at the time of exchange/refund, they cannot be reinstated. Any additional amount for the product needs to be paid with additional points, cash, or card.

How many tiers does the program have?
- Because we believe that your rewards must match your purchases, the Galeries Lafayette Doha Reward Program has 4 Tiers:
i. Red: This entry membership is with no minimal transaction and up to QAR 5,000. Tier 1 members earn 1.5 points for each QAR 1 spent.
ii. Silver: This tier membership is for customers who spent between QAR 5,001 and QAR 50,000. Tier 2 members earn 2 points for each QAR 1 spent.
iii. Gold: This tier membership is for customers who spent above QAR 50,000. Tier 3 members earn 2.5 points for each QAR 1 spent. br> iv. La Suite: Upon exclusive invitation only. La Suit members earn 3 points for each QAR 1 spent.
The tier level you reach and hold will depend on how much you spend over 24 months. The higher your spending, the greater the rewards, benefits, privileges and perks you can enjoy. Feel free to get in touch with our Galeries Lafayette Doha Concierge for further details.
How are points calculated towards my tier?
- Your membership tier is calculated on the number of tier points you earn in a 24-month period. At any time, if you earn enough points to move to the next tier you will be upgraded automatically, and you will stay in this new tier for the following 24 months.
Will you be downgraded if you spend your points?
- No, you will not be downgraded when points are spent. Tier points are not used towards redemption.
What should you do if you lose your rewards card?
- If ever you lose your rewards card, GLD will be happy to replace it for you. You can request a replacement card by contacting our customer service team instore who will be happy to help.
Who should you notify if your address changes?
- GLD has ensured that you can update your personal details by signing into your online account at any time. You can click ‘Change Personal Details’ and make the necessary adjustments or you can contact our customer service team instore, who will assist you with updating your information.
What if you decide to leave the program?
- While we will be unfortunate to lose you, we want you to know that you can deactivate your account by contacting our customer service team at the store or you can email us at rewards.galerieslafayette@alibinali.com and request the removal of your membership.
What if you forget your rewards card when you are shopping?
- If you have forgotten to bring your card with you, simply share your phone number/email address that was used during your account registration at the paying counter, and your points will be added within 24 hours to your account.
What happens if you don’t spend enough in two years?
- Just in case your spending falls below the requirement for your existing level of membership, you will be moved to the level that corresponds to your current spending. However, the moment your spending rises you will be upgraded again to the relevant level.
How long do you have to wait to be upgraded?
- Your upgrades happen within 48 hours. As soon as you qualify for a higher level of membership, we will inform you in writing or by email and soon after move you up to the next tier. All we need is for you to have accurate, up-to-date contact details on your account. The moment you go up a tier or two and you receive confirmation of your membership level you are entitled to enjoy all the benefits your upgrade brings.
